Must-have for Youtube, Autobuffer Script

I just want to briefly share something that I believe is a must-have for anyone who occasionally watches videos on Youtube. This trick will allow you to open up a bunch of videos and not have to worry about them all starting at once. The videos will all pause at the beginning but still load up so that they are all ready for watching whenever you're ready.

Greasemonkey

You'll need the Firefox addon Greasemonkey [addons.mozilla.org]. Greasemonkey doesn't do anything on its own, but it allows you to install scripts that will change or fix websites that you visit.

AutoBuffer

Next, get the Youtube AutoBuffer script [userscripts.org], click to install it. From now on, whenever you open up a Youtube video, it will start loading but not play.

This script also removes the ads from the video. There are also tons of other scripts for Youtube. Here's a page [www.gtricks.com] with some other scripts you may be interested in.

To quickly download a Youtube video without bothering with special addons for whatever browser you may be using, just change the "y" in the URL to a "3" (youtube.com/watch?v=.. becomes 3outube.com/watch?v=...) and hit enter. You'll be taken to another website with options for downloading the video you were just on in different formats and qualities. If this isn't hassle-free, I don't know what is.

Google Chrome users, cheer up, if you're running one of the later versions of Chrome you can also add userscripts. You don't even need to install the Greasemonkey addon because it's already built in.
