...So, Abbreviation isn't an oxymoron... - but I agree it is an amusing term (given that its so long...) It fits (imho) into another category of words along with;

Ah... Well, "Lisp" - impossible for people with one to say it! And Sesquipedalian - Look it up (trust me it is worth it!)

After a brief moment of thought, I believe that "Sesquipedalian" is probably better off as a redundancy. It makes oodles of sense that way.
